Shuttered behind a forecast of solstice snow, I try to shed a shirade
of somber thoughts, I must release them before they finally divide
my purity into pieces that no longer rhyme with my heart's crusade,
everyday I must struggle to adhere to the sensitivity I keep inside.
Hidden in plain sight I exist here, a line of broken prose
wishing I could extract the poison from this world I know,
and fill it with the purity that appeals to my soul,
but this world is so jaded, one day it must pay the toll.
How can I strive through my ardorous tears and continue to harbor
Poetry and Purity-Beauty's indivisible light? It would be my chagrin
if I did not, then those of spiteful hearts would finally unencumber
me of my sensitive nature, this I vow...the world will not win!
