A velvet vexation of love caresses me
into a state of creamy warmth, a sunkissed
halo coaxes me into my own world where
gecko kisses fall as freely as paper wishes
soon to be, in Silence does Peaches divinely
compose, massaging my emotions under
her gecko cares as she runs up my arm
and sits on my shoulder, as gentle as
a Spring thaw she owns this moment and
me too, seeking out the crevices in my
pupil heart, I kiss her and she kisses
me back, so sweetly given our kisses
are-as together we contemplate Eternity-
Peaches and I, my little girl gecko
with the satin skin and eyes big with
curiosity and contentment, growing bigger
with wider wonder, her souful life.

She is the teacher of inner peace and
I her faithful student, she is the sage
of secrets that circle the universe and
I can only hope to be wise enough one
day to learn, to let go and just exist
in my natural state, to heat up the Sea
with my hot flow, to let go of disabled
circumstance and embrace change, these
lessons are what my precious Peaches
has taught me-and to love, purely and
gently as Love only knows how to, brighter
than a constellation of Stars that lend
their light to a very special Night,
so Peaches lights up my life with her
sweet presence, everytime I look into
her big eyes I see love looking back
at me, everytime I kiss her I feel love,
cascading over me like a Sunbeam, coloring
me gorgeously in the halo of Peaches,
my precious gecko angel.

This is a love poem to another of my geckos, Peaches. I'm not sure if I'm really happy with all of it, I might change it at a later date, but it's in honor of my sweet gecko girl.

By the way, Peaches is a crested gecko, female, 3 years old in this picture.
